We were referred to Your Biker Gang's Fat Tire tours by an employee of mine. On a couples trip in late April we participated in the Food and City tour. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather and we loved our tour with Patrick. The bikes are easy to handle and safe to ride. We got to see many parts of the city and we really enjoyed ourselves. I think the tour was 2 hours and it could have been twice as long. Highly recommend this if you are looking for something "different" to do while in Austin.
I've never ridden a mini bike or scooter so was a bit nervous about this tour but Patrick makes sure everyone practiced in the lot first and felt comfortable. You quickly get used to it. The tour was super fun. Saw some great murals, learned some history, stopped for some awesome donuts at Voodoo donuts, and received good tips on where to go after to explore more food, drinks and sights. Patrick is fun and engaging, he made sure everyone felt welcomed and included. I can't wait to go again!
The guides of this tour are very enthusiastic and have tons of personality! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the city and food attractions. And the bikes were a blast.
This ride was so much fun! Joe, our Road Captain, made sure everyone stayed safe AND had fun. (As a mom/teacher I know firsthand how challenging it can be to keep those two in balance...LOL) I cannot say enough about how enjoyable this was. My only regret is that we did the ride towards the end of our trip. Doing this ride the first day would have given us a better perspective of Austin and a list of things/places we would have loved going back to. So my advice would be: Go join the bike gang as soon as you touch down in Austin.
After finding these guys on the net before leaving the UK we booked three of us in for a 9am tour ( approx 2.5 hours ).We turned up at HQ and were greater by Tyler ,he was extremely friendly, enthusiastic and warmly welcoming , after showing us round the bikes and explaining the controls we were taken to an of road area where Tyler made sure we had control before we went on the road. The tour was fantastic fun, extremely good and a brilliant way of having a guided tour of the city ( with an extremely knowledgeable guide )this is a must do tour that will make your smile a mile wide ,do it or miss out.
This was a fun little activity to get the lay of the land and have fun doing it. Our tour guy was fun, and we learned all kinds of trivia and history about Austin. It had us going to spots that we otherwise wouldn't have known about.
My family of 4 rented 2 e-bikes and did the city tour with Gator. The bikes were fun to ride, safe with with kids. We hit a bunch of hotspots, and Gator kept it fun.
We saw the yourbikergang.wpengine.com group while driving in Austin. Decided it was something we would enjoy-and we did! Our guide-Joseph was knowledgeable and funny and the tour was great. We saw places in Austin that we would not have seen on our own. Was thankful the tour went on less traveled roads but overall wasn't bad riding in the city. The bikes are easy to handle and they make sure you can prior to starting the tour with practice in an adjacent parking lot. Would recommend! Can't wait to find another city to tour with yourbikergang.wpengine.com!
We booked a 2-hour tour with Your Biker Gang during a girls weekend and we had such a ball! Tyler was a great guide and had the perfect mix of fun and safety. We appreciated the lesson before going on our ride and really appreciated all of the fun pictures he took after we were done. It was a great way to see a bunch of spots in Austin and we would do it again in a heartbeat!
This experience is a blast! Where else can you lean back on your own fat boy and cruise the City without a license to ride? Granted, they top out at 20mph and your guide takes pretty good care to make sure you don't end up in crazy bad traffic. We went out on the morning trek with Justin. He did a great job teaching us the basics before we hit the road. It is important to remember this is a 'tour', not just a ride. Consequently, you make several stops during the tour to dismount, chat and take pictures. In addition, you only move as fast as the slowest rider. Unfortunately, they don't subscribe to the theory of Survival of the Fittest.Justin did a fine job explaining little factoids about the city as we tolled around. Our group was most interested in scenery and music, so those are the sites that he spent most of his time on. The only regret I have is I would have liked the option of cruising around a bit on my own at the end and just letting the bike fly down the streets. I think 20 miles per hour may be understating the performance of these beasts, but we never really had a chance to find out. More
Patrick was an awesome guide, so fun and knowledgeable. You can tell he loves his job and really goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has an awesome time!
